Digital Analyst

 

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Analytics, this position will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing data across functional roles in the company. Responsibilities include the preparation of regularly scheduled and ad-hoc reports and analysis. Analysts will work towards automating reporting dashboards and tools for business stakeholders to drive impactful data-driven operations using tools such as Tableau, BigQuery, and Google Analytics.

Our data provides the business with critical contextual and behavioral information to help each functional area perform competitively. Our core functions are data collection, quality assurance, data management, reporting, and analysis.

Essential Functions:

  • You will support editorial teams with reporting, long-analysis, and troubleshooting reports
  • You will utilize data to support campaign optimization across multiple media channels and procure insights to support campaign optimization
  • You will report on A/B multivariate tests and experimentation methods to build robust product and growth strategies in coordination with data science and product leads
  • You will present and communicate your findings to team leads
  • You will analyze scenarios to assess the impacts of various factors on business performance
  • Actively contribute to team meetings to supply and suggest data points to measure company initiatives
  • You will support the coordination of regular site changes and updates
  • Ensure the achievement of timelines, schedules and deadlines

 

Education/Experience:

  • The ideal candidate follows the latest digital trends and has a deep understanding of emerging technologies
  • You have 0-2 years of experience in digital media, advertising, or interactive/technology consulting
  • You are fluent in Excel and have experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, and similar digital analytics tool
  • You are familiar with SQL
  • You are familiar with Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy, or other data visualization tools
  • You are a critical thinker and enthusiastic for translating data into actionable insight
  • You have a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics or a quantitative degree in another social science
  • Communication Skills:
    • Demonstrated ability to customize communication strategy to a given target audience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent documentation, organization, time management, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Ability to balance multiple project deliverables and identify and execute tasks effectively
  • Flexibility in response to change
  • You have experience with or work samples using SAS, Python, or R
  • Tableau certified individuals (Desktop, Server, etc.)
  • Google Analytics Individual Qualified certification
